Maria Serenius’ Jewellery from the Middle East and African Arab Cultures

Pop up exhibition of jewellery from the Arabian Peninsula and the Arab cultures of Africa. Ambassador Maria Serenius worked as a development adviser to the Finnish Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Cairo from 1984 to 1988, during which time she travelled to Yemen, where jewellery introduced her to the culture of that rugged Arab country.
